With the original series, it might work but the fact remains, even for the original series, that Ben 10 canon is enormous and hard to incorporate properly. Some series are better left alone, no matter how great they were.
It isn't a bad idea, it would only be hard to pull off, I'm afraid. As for the shows itself:
I enjoyed the original, still the best of the four
I was skeptical towards AF at first but discovered that it was good, despite the retcon (or alternative universe as they put it). Sure it had its lesser moments (plenty of filler from time to time, especially in the beginning) but the finale was great.
Ultimate Alien is after the original, my favorite as it reminded me of Justice League (both were written by Dwayne McDuffie), and wasn't all roses and rainbows. The titular hero was still a bit cocky but also had matured a lot and the villains were darker and more, you know, villainous. They also never toned down the villains (something that sadly happened to villains from other shows, like HIM in Powerpuff Girls) and there still was some sort of threat of the in the villains.
As for Omniverse... I know that I'm not going to make myself popular with this remark, but it was huge stepback for me. The designs/ re-designs were awful (I really hate the used artstyle, it might have worked for an episode based show, Ben had become too childish again, the story itself had good ideas (Khyber and the Nemetrix were great ideas) but the end result was rather mediocre, another retcon, more light-hearted than the previous two shows (but some people would prefer that so I let that one slide) and then there was the Secret Saturday episode...
I know it was a dream of many fans to see these two shows have a crossover but the writers had to be smarter and know that this couldn't be pulled off without violating established canon of both shows (and I like Secret Saturdays):
1) Secret Saturdays was over, Kur (and Argost) were dead and there was nothing to work with anymore (as Zak had lost his power and the secret of cryptids was exposed to the world), there was no reason to return to it.
2) Both Ben Tennyson as Zak Saturday were great heroes in their shows (as they both saved the world from destructive forces), if you are going to do this, make sure that they are established to be in the same universe (other than a few cameos in Secret Saturdays, there was not much of connection) or have a crossover like with Generator Rex (a crossover done right), with a time/space portal.
3) Argost wasn't the only villain in the series, it had many iconic villains that could work, who aren't dead. Argost was a confirmed kill, and they had to revive in order to make it work and Munya was implied to be dead. Villains they could have used (that are great): Pietro 'Piecemeal' Maltese (I bet he never had eaten an alien before), Shoji Fuzen (without a body or confirmation, a fictional character isn't dead) or Rani Nagi (out of revenge for killing Kur).
ok maybe i was so confuse to your comments but for me it's not bad in fact i haven't completed my watching UA and Omniverse last 2013 i completed the Alien Force episodes but i need to complete my UA/Omniverse episode list so me & Snitchpogi12 will have more IDEAS to add related to PPGD, yeah i know maybe it's a FANON i hope someday Bleed-sama will add Ben and his team.
You are correct Brandon, but there is a difference between a cameo appearance and becoming an integrate part of story. If they can pull it off, they should do it. All I'm saying, it will be hard to pull it off, without overplaying the character. With the upcoming invasion of the Cluster, the fued between Cluster and Irken, (it would be interesting if the Glorft reappear as well, as a tritagonist in the fued), it could make sense to have Ben on board, maybe as an infiltrator to Irken fleets (as if he appears, he likely will have a DNA of Irken) or mistaken the Glorft for Vilgax (creating a relation between the two species (evolutionary or so). Ben 10 can be a great addition to cast of characters but it can also bring ruin to it.And with the original series, where not everything was explained by aliens, it would be the easiest of the series to make a crossover.
True, But at the same time from what I heard from the Snafu comics forum Ben 10 is one of the series that Bleedman has no interest in adding to his collection of lore. So do I think that it's a part of the overall universe? Yes. Does that mean that I think it will be a part of the overall story-line? No.
