Junior's Nergaling, formerly Minimandy's Junior, is one of the main antagonists and protagonists from Grim Tales.
Grim Tales
From Down Below
Minimandy, being the daughter of Nergal Jr. had the same powers of a Nergaling. Although not having done anything with it, she awakens her Nergaling while dancing in the graveyard of Halloween Town. Minnie uses the Nergaling powers to save Grim Jr. from Oogie Boogie and his helpers. It seemed like Minnie was winning until Oogie Boogie called out the Pumpkinator which grabbed Minimandy and ripped her in two. On her last breath Minimandy gave her right eye to Grim Jr. and thus passed on her Nergaling to Junior.
Being depressed by the death of his little sister, Grim Jr. awakened his Nergaling powers immediately but because of his weak will his body was taken over. Out of anger the Pumpkinator was destroyed and the Nergaling merged with it. it headed into Halloween Town but was fought there by Mandy, the Grim Reaper and Jack Skellington. Later Lord Pain joined with battle with the royal guards. Dan Phantom arrived on the scene shortly after and performed a Ghostly Wail on the Pumpkinator and destroyed its shell allowing Grim and Clockwork to travel inside the belly of the beast. The Nergaling that was merged with the Pumpkinator now appeared as a gigantic and monsterous Nergaling with reaper powers. It withstand Dan's weak attacks and copied his Ghostly Wail to use it against him. As Dan was lying on the ground, ready to get stabbed by the demon reaper, Nergal Jr. arrived on the scene to save him.
Grim and Clockwork reaped the spirit of Junior out of the demon reaper. They quickly headed out but Clockwork had send Junior to the Realm of Flesh and Blood. After his journey to the Realm of flesh and Blood and Limbo Junior was returned back to Halloween Town by Clockwork. While the others still were fighting, Junior's spirit was getting consumed by the demon reaper. Minnie however appeared on the scene to save Junior, but in the end they both got swallowed and got to meet Nergal. Eventually the demon reaper was destroyed by Dan with his ghost blast. Nergaling still was inside of Grim Jr. so it wasn't over yet. He wanted to attack Dan, but suddenly Minnie hugged Junior which calmed down the Nergaling and saved Junior.
What About Mimi?
Grim Jr. has become more adapt to using the Nergaling powers and can transform parts of his body and attack with his tentacles as well. However Grim Jr. and his Nergaling still aren't on very good terms, probably because of the abrupt parting with Minnie and the rampage Nergaling caused. Their relationship does seem to get slightly better despite the fights. He even went all out when Grim Jr. went up against his mother. Nergaling started to help Junior more and more with his own things, slowly starting to like them, and his house as well.
Chapter 8
The relationship between Grim Jr. and his Nergaling has gradually become better. First he transforms into a american football armor to protect Junior from the dangers that Mimi bring, like biting. They have good conversations while heading towards Mimi. But once they open the door Mimi has run away and is on the edge of the castle, wanting to leap down. Grim Jr. first uses Nergaling as a grapple hook to pull both them up high, but it fails. Now Nergaling suddenly grows wings out of danger from the situation. He saves Mimi from certain death, however only to get repaid in her room later by biting him. Mimi then sees the muffin and eats is according to plan, so Junior and Nergaling give each other a bro-fist.
Chapter 9
Junior is skating around in the halls while reaping down the occasional fly to turn it into a Sprite for Nergaling's appetite. They made cupcakes together for Mimi, but also realize they have to give Minnie right, but as reward get scolded. They then decide to put Mimi in bath which she enjoys very much despite her biting from earlier. Junior and Nergaling then went to get a new dress for her. Apparently Nergaling also knows there is something so dark inside of her because the did commit.
Personality
At first Nergaling and Junior don't seem to hit it off very well, which possibly is because they both have very short tempers. Nergalings also admits that he really was a monster with almost God like powers. He and Junior grew very close. They have a brother relationship with each other and Nergaling likes it so much more then when he was destroying everything in Halloween Town. Nergaling is a reasonable creature who thinks before he does something. He likes to have some fun with Junior despite all the annoying jobs in between.
